When ordering a lightweight starter, don't forget our special NEW REPRODUCTION lightweight starter shield.
These are a commonly overlooked detail included by the factory, but over the years they often get thrown away when starters are replaced.
The lightweight starters have a slightly different nose profile that leaves a large gap exposed if you try to use the original factory shields with them.
This shield has the proper opening to fit the lightweight starter's nose and it is made from the same coated steel as the original Chrysler versions.
